Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

A creature was stirring, but it wasn’t a mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

But when morning arrived they’d no longer be there.

The dog was supposed to be snug in his

But he’d torn down the lights and the baubles instead.

Then Mum in her nighty and Dad in his cap,

Came down the stairs to find presents unwrapped.file_002

Has your dog ever given you a nightmare before Christmas? We’ve heard stories of dogs who completely trashed the tree, opened all the kids’ presents, destroyed decorations and even eaten the turkey. We’ve also heard stories of lovely little helpers who just want to embrace the Christmas spirit and warm themselves by the fire, help out with decorations or just really love playing in the snow. Naughty or nice, we wouldn’t have them any other way.

With not long to go until Christmas, we wanted to hear some of your Christmas tales from this festive period, or even from Christmases past. Share videos and pictures of your dog embracing or disgracing the Christmas spirit with us across your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #christmastails from now until 20th December. We’ll be choosing a winner for the best tale and there’s a festive canine sack full of Christmas treats up for grabs for one lucky dog, which will arrive in time for Christmas Day.

Here are some examples below for inspiration. Good luck!

Here’s Didi unwillingly embracing the Christmas spirit whilst dressed as Elsa from Frozen. He did not let it go. #christmastails
Monty loves his festive scarf and tries to look sweet and cute, but spoils it by stealing Biggie’s toys. #christmastails
Here’s Lola being ‘helpful’ by cleaning the plates in the dishwasher after dinner.
