Carrots are high in fibre which helps to promote healthy digestion to keep your dog healthy and regular in the toilet department. They\u2019re also packed with vitamin A to help strengthen your dog\u2019s immune system.&nbsp;We chose chopped carrots to use as a topping on these treats, but you can always use shredded carrot instead if you prefer.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">We\u2019ve also added a couple of dog-friendly herbs that boast great health benefits, two examples of which are basil and oregano. Herbs such as Basil and Oregano not only provide extra vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to benefit the immune system, but are also full of flavour for your dog to enjoy. A<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">ccording to office dog Bandit, they\u2019re both delicious.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2066 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/feb-recipe-3.png\" alt=\"feb-recipe-3\" width=\"810\" height=\"580\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/feb-recipe-3.png 810w, https:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/feb-recipe-3-300x215.png 300w, https:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/feb-recipe-3-768x550.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">We know it can be tempting to give in to those big, soppy eyes but please do remember that like all treats, these should be given in moderation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>300g of whole wheat or wheat free flour<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight:400\">1 tbsp of dried basil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight:400\">1 tbsp of dried oregano<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight:400\">1 egg<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight:400\">120 ml of water<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight:400\">1 peeled carrot, chopped or shredded<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2065 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/feb-recipe-2.png\" alt=\"feb-recipe-2\" width=\"810\" height=\"580\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/feb-recipe-2.png 810w, https:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/feb-recipe-2-300x215.png 300w, https:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/feb-recipe-2-768x550.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Cooking instructions:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; Preheat the oven to 180C<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; In a medium sized bowl, mix together the flour, oregano and dried basil<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; In another bowl, whisk the egg and then add the water<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; Make a circular well in the dry mixture and pour in the egg and water<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; Stir together until a firm mixture is formed<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; Knead the dough into a ball and roll out onto a floured surface until about 1cm thick<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; Cut into circular shapes (or use a heart-shaped cookie cutter if you have one) ?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; Place the treats onto a lightly greased baking tray, or parchment paper<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; Add the carrot on top of the treats<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8211; Allow to cool before serving<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2064\" src=\"http:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/feb-recipe-1.png\" alt=\"feb-recipe-1\" width=\"810\" height=\"580\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Lately, Bandit has only had eyes for the local neighbourhood Labrador, Barney.
