If there\u2019s one thing we know, it\u2019s that our tails.com dogs love their tailor-made food. We read amazing things in our <\/span>Trustpilot reviews<\/span><\/a> and we see beautiful photos on your <\/span>Instagram posts <\/span><\/a>too. As well as those, we\u2019d love to see just how much your dogs enjoy and get excited for their tails.com food in a short video (of 30 seconds or less). To help you become a filming pro, we\u2019ve put together a handy checklist to get yourself ready:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.What\u2019s in the background?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Make sure you\u2019ve got yourself a \u2018blank canvas\u2019 background so your dog and their dinner is the main focus. Against a lightly coloured wall or outdoors is usually best.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Is your lighting good?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Getting yourself into a position where there\u2019s plenty of light will give you a better, higher quality video. If you\u2019re out in the garden shooting your video, the sun will do the work for you but if you\u2019re indoors, try to position yourself near a window or add additional lighting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Position your tails.com bag so that it\u2019s visible in the shot, making sure your dog\u2019s name is visible too. Dogs love seeing you scoop and pour their kibble into a bowl – it means that dinner is on its way!<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Is your hand steady?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It can be hard to keep a steady hand when you\u2019re filming on your phone. To control as much steadiness as possible, keep your phone fairly close to your body and use your balance to absorb any jolts or jumps you might encounter during filming. If you really want to get serious, buying a small, cheap tripod can take away the stress of having to stay so still.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. What’s the best format?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Landscape usually works best to capture the full picture of your dog’s dinner time. By shifting your phone\/camera onto its side, you’re less likely to be tempted to move around and follow your dog. Instead, you’ll have a wider and steadier shot that will allow you to capture much clearer footage.<\/p>\n

6. Is there a tail wagging?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not hard to get a dog excited about food, but generating excitement beforehand can make for a really engaging video. Some dogs do the funniest things when they\u2019re waiting for their food, and catching these on camera can be really entertaining.<\/span><\/p>\n
