They destroy cells in the body and can cause kidney and liver failure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Category B and C mushrooms affect the nervous system. These mushrooms can cause tremors, seizures and affect their ability to walk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Category D mushrooms can cause gastrointestinal upset, including vomiting and diarrhoea. But this is rarely life threatening.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most common symptoms of mushroom poisoning are:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Vomiting&nbsp;<\/li><li>Diarrhoea<\/li><li>Lethargy&nbsp;<\/li><li>Weakness<\/li><li>Jaundice&nbsp;<\/li><li>Abdominal pain&nbsp;<\/li><li>Seizures&nbsp;<\/li><li>Excessive drooling&nbsp;<\/li><li>Coma&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you suspect your dog has eaten a wild mushroom, don\u2019t hesitate. Contact your vet for advice immediately. If you can, take a sample of the mushroom with you.
