This tasty veg also contains <strong>riboflavin<\/strong> which helps the body change fat and carbohydrate into energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So to showcase the sweet potato in all its orange, nutritious glory, we\u2019ve come up with the perfect autumn treat to pop in the oven on a Sunday and have ready for the week ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Recipe: Sweet potato chews\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/G1Uxuxyhssk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Servings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6-8 chews, depending on the size of your potato<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you\u2019ll need<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 &#8211; 2 sweet potatoes (no need to peel)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baking tray<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Preheat your oven to 130C and line your baking tray with paper<\/li><li>Cut your sweet potato into 1.5cm thick slices &#8211; for smaller dogs, we recommend cutting it into coins, and for larger dogs, you can try cutting it lengthwise<\/li><li>Pop them on your baking tray, making sure they\u2019re nicely spread out<\/li><li>Bake for 2 &#8211; 3 hours, turning them halfway through<\/li><li>They\u2019re ready when some bits are a bit crispy, and some a little bit chewy<\/li><li>Leave them to cool and store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Top tip: to make your sweet potato chews extra special, try sprinkling a little ginger or cinnamon over the top before you pop them in the oven. Ginger is great for digestion &#8211; and both are delicious.
