They don\u2019t need to all be edible, but your dog will love it if they are! We\u2019ve used our own tails.com treats here because as any tails.com customer will know, you get a treat allowance as part of your dog\u2019s daily feeding plan, so it\u2019s easy to know what you\u2019re feeding without going overboard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dental Dailies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Star-shaped (so Christmassy!) and available <a href=\"https:\/\/tails.com\/gb\/range\/dog-dental-chews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> in small, medium and large, they\u2019re one-a-day treats so one per envelope<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Good Dog treats<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Super small, and low in cals at only 3kcal per mini bone, this <a href=\"https:\/\/tails.com\/gb\/range\/good-dog-treats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pint-sized treat<\/a> will be good to sit in an envelope for a week or two (just don\u2019t hang your calendar over a heat source otherwise things will start to smell ripe).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Christmas Cracker<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Available from the <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.tails.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Christmas shop<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Superfood Bites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These come in so many different <a href=\"https:\/\/tails.com\/gb\/range\/superfood-bites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flavours<\/a>, it\u2019ll be hard to choose which to include!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Christmas bakes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you can\u2019t bear to wait until the big day, crack open the tails.com <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.tails.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Christmas bakes <\/a>treat and pop a few in an envelope then seal (the box is so pretty though, you might want to save it all for December 25th!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bandana<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to get away from food-oriented treats, but still want to treat them, why not opt for a cute bandana instead?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Squeaky toy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We haven\u2019t met a dog who doesn\u2019t love a squeak.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to assemble:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>First make your gift tags<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Number them from 1-25 in pen, using a stamp or with paints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Decorate or pop a message on with your dog\u2019s favourite words if you\u2019re feeling super creative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\"><li><strong>Fill them<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Put the 25 gifts you\u2019ve chosen into their envelopes and seal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\"><li><strong>Sort the string<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Cut 25 pieces of string &#8211; you can choose the same length for them all, or lots of different lengths if you prefer. You\u2019ll use them to attach your cards and loop over your branch, too<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\"><li><strong>Attach the string&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Blob a bit of glue on the back and glue <strong>one end<\/strong> of your string to it. Allow to dry and repeat with your other envelopes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\"><li><strong>Get the branch<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting from the left of your branch and working to the right. Loop the loose part of string from Envelope No. 1 &#8211; over the branch and glue to secure it at the back of the envelope &#8211; so you can only see the gift tag on the front. Repeat with your remaining envelopes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\"><li><strong>Decorate the branch<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re not using foliage and you want to add a bit of green &#8211; or some battery-operated fairy lights &#8211; wrap them around your branch and secure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"7\"><li><strong>Nearly there!<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To hang it &#8211; wrap and tie a longer piece of (strong) string around each end of your branch &#8211; it needs to be long enough to hang on the wall. This is your hook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Get hanging &#8211; your beautiful, dog-friendly advent calendar is ready for the wall &#8211; and to pop on Instagram, of course.
