While your dog\u2019s eyes, nose and drooling mouth will be drawn to the sausages and burgers, the question today is whether or not they can stomach sweetcorn. Let\u2019s find out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sweetcorn-is-neat-corn\">Sweetcorn is neat corn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is that yes, your dog can enjoy sweetcorn. These golden kernels offer no issues when it comes to your dog\u2019s digestive system, though we\u2019d encourage you to only feed them this treat in moderation. While it\u2019s not going to harm your dog, it won\u2019t do them a great amount of good either. Sure, theres a little fibre there, but there\u2019s also a fair bit of sugar (hence the \u201csweet\u201d) so it\u2019s not exactly a healthy food. As a treat, fine, but too much or too often, and this will contribute to any weight problems your pooch might be having.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No cob in the gob<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>And going back to those barbecued corn on the cob, we really don\u2019t recommend sharing these with your dog. Sure, you could remove the kernels and share those with the dog, but the cob itself can present a real choking hazard and we don\u2019t want that. If you do want to give them some corn, we recommend sweetcorn from a can, and not too much of that either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you really want to treat your dog, why not instead pick out something from our range of dog <a href=\"https:\/\/tails.com\/gb\/range\/treats-and-chews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">treats<\/a>?
