These deep-fried treats are best left to the humans &#8211; all that saturated fat and sugar (as delicious as it might be) means doughnuts don\u2019t make a very dog-friendly snack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is: we don&#8217;t want our dogs to miss out on all the fun, and that&#8217;s where our delicious doggy doughnut recipe comes in. These dog-friendly doughnuts went down a storm with our (very trustworthy) taste testers. Using almond flour, eggs, a little coconut oil, and some xylitol-free peanut butter, this recipe is the perfect afternoon treat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-servings\">Servings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>4 large doughnuts &#8211; each doughnut is approximately 250kcal, so we\u2019d recommend cutting them into smaller pieces to keep tummies trim!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-you-ll-need\">What you\u2019ll need<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the doughnuts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>135g almond flour (you could also use coconut flour or wholemeal flour if your dog tolerates wheat)<\/li><li>2 eggs<\/li><li>1 tsp coconut oil<\/li><li>1 heaped tsp xylitol-free peanut butter<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the icing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2 tbsp coconut yoghurt (goat milk yoghurt or kefir is also fine)<\/li><li>1 tsp cornflour<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the decoration:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Their favourite treats!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Equipment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Bowl<\/li><li>Non-stick doughnut baking tray<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-method\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Preheat your oven to 180\u00b0C<\/li><li>Add the flour, egg, coconut oil, and peanut butter to a mixing bowl and stir until combined<\/li><li>In a separate bowl, mix together the yoghurt and cornflour until smooth<\/li><li>Lightly grease your baking tray with coconut oil and fill with your mixture<\/li><li>Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown<\/li><li>Allow to cool, then remove the doughnuts from the tray<\/li><li>Use your yoghurt icing to top the doughnuts and decorate with your dog\u2019s favourite treats &#8211; we used our <a href=\"https:\/\/tails.com\/gb\/range\/hand-baked-biscuits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hand-baked Duck Treats<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/tails.com\/gb\/range\/good-dog-treats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Good Dog Treat<\/a>s!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 7 days &#8211; or freeze and use within 3 months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019d love to see your doughnut creations!
