From chocolate and mince pies, to wine and pigs in blankets &#8211; there\u2019s a whole host of festive foods we humans look forward to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sadly, most of these tasty treats aren\u2019t suitable for dogs, no matter how much they wish we could share. The good news is &#8211; we\u2019ve got you covered. We\u2019ve developed some <a href=\"https:\/\/tails.com\/blog\/category\/recipes\/\">super simple recipes<\/a>, perfect for treating your dog this Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our apple gingerbread is made with brown rice flour, apple, a little bit of coconut yoghurt and a pinch of ginger for the ultimate snack in the run up to Christmas. And, not only do they taste good &#8211; but they look pretty cute, too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why not whip up a batch to gift your dog\u2019s four-legged pals?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-servings\">Servings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>8 biscuits<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-you-ll-need\">What you\u2019ll need<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>150g brown rice flour (or just regular wholemeal flour if your dog is okay with wheat)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 grated apple, with pips and core removed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g coconut yoghurt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp ground ginger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tbsp coconut oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-method\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat your oven to 180\u00b0C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until well combined<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once mixed together, use your hands to mould it into a dough-like consistency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On a floured surface, roll the dough until it\u2019s around half a centimetre thick<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the dough into your desired shapes and place on a baking sheet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brush a little extra coconut oil onto each biscuit and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>These make a delicious snack for humans, too! Just add a little sugar or honey to the mixture first, or use some icing to decorate.
