At tails.com we’re proud to say that we have a number of veterinary professionals working for us to make sure we’re doing the best we can for dog health and nutrition. Our Head Vet, Sean McCormack, gained his Veterinary Medicine degree (MVB) at University College Dublin after studying a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science and then spent 6 years in private practice before coming to tails.com. Amy Henson RVN has been a qualified veterinary nurse for over ten years and is our customer experience nutritional team leader – she is a vital source of knowledge and training for the whole team. We have several other RVNs working remotely as part of our customer experience team too.
Vets: Stay, Go, Diversify! (VSGD)
Vets: Stay, Go, Diversify! (VSGD) is an international community of veterinary professionals who support each other in pursuing fulfilling careers. Their mission is to help you connect with like-minded people and provide support on your journey to a successful career either in clinic or beyond.
Sean (and tails.com) have worked with VSGD for a number of years and both Sean and Amy’s roles are a great example of the type of work that you can do with your veterinary qualification. Sean recently did a week-long takeover of the VSGD instagram account where he highlighted some of the interesting and fun-filled work that he’s involved with at tails.com. Take a look here!
Sean says: “VSGD is an incredible forum and community to be involved in and I’m very proud to have been able to support the first VSGD Live Congress last year through my work with tails.com. As a vet who has diversified into industry, but was quite confused about how to do so at the time, the value I see in having such a supportive and helpful group now is phenomenal.”
Instagram takeover by head vet Sean
I was honoured to be asked to do their first Instagram takeover and had great fun doing it. I hope all the VSGD audience found it interesting and insightful on what an industry role can look like. If you missed it, the whole series is in a highlight on their Instagram page”.
