If you’re looking for dog friendly shopping spots to get through your Christmas shopping, indulge in those New Year’s sales, or even just for a bit of retail therapy – you’re in luck!
We’ve put together this list of our favourite dog friendly shops, because after all, who better to tell us we look great than our dogs?
John Lewis
That’s right! The department store chain started welcoming dogs a couple of years ago. And with plenty of doggy accessories to try out, they’re the perfect shop to indulge both yourself and your dog.
Barbour
A countrywear staple, Barbour even sell waxed jackets for dogs – we love this one with its classic tartan lining, the perfect winter walk essential.
Lush
Stock up on cosmetics and soaps from Lush with your four-legged friend in tow! All Lush products are completely natural and never ever tested on animals.
Pret a Manger
Fancy a coffee? Pret a Manger has outlets all over the UK, and even has the option of a coffee subscription if you can’t go a day without your caffeine fix! Their shops are mostly dog-friendly inside and out, it just depends on the manager’s discretion.
Liberty’s
This London institution has been around for almost 150 years, providing luxury homeware, accessories, clothes, and more to the shopping elite. Even if the most you end up buying is a tote bag with their signature floral print, it’s worth a trip just to marvel in the beautiful architecture of this Tudor revival building.
Waterstones
If you’re looking for a new book to snuggle up with, check out Waterstones. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in most stores – and many even have water bowls at the ready.
Oliver Bonas
From clothing to homeware, Oliver Bonas has a beautiful range that’s perfect for gifting – whether that’s for friends, family, or just yourself! Their stores are dog friendly, so why not let your pooch pick out your next purchase?
Wilko
Stock up on your essentials with the help of your dog at Wilko stores across the UK. Just try to avoid the pet aisle, or you might find yourself coming out with more than you’d planned!
H&M
That’s right, this high street fashion icon is reportedly allowing dogs into their stores across the UK! Whether it’s a last minute party dress or a new pair of socks, you can shop to your heart’s content with your dog in tow.
Apple
The gadget-obsessed can pick up the latest iPhone without needing to leave their dog at home, as Apple shops across the country are allowing dogs into the store.
Well done to those shops that are dog friendly. My dog goes everywhere with me as he’s my companion and life saver. It’s very lonely and isolating living on your own and more should be done for us . A lot of the elderly are having to give up the one thing that gives unconditional love because they can’t afford to feed them. Please start to give a dog of an elderly person meals for a dog even if it out of a tin so they can keep that one love in their time of uncertainty.
